Technical Higher secondary school  Vazhakkad, one of the pioneer technical education institution  in Malappuram district, is managed by the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD) - established by Government of Kerala on 1992. School has 100 seats Physical Science group 100 seats  for Integrated science group at higher secondary level and 100 seats in secondary level

The school offers an integrated system of education from standard VIII-XII. The school admits students in the Secondary level in Standard VIII. At the Higher Secondary level students are admitted in Standard XI. It has an excellent atmosphere for imparting good technical education. The school has been able to achieve outstanding results both in the Secondary level and  Higher Secondary levels since its inception. It has also proved its excellence in the curricular and co curricular domain by securing championships in the Kalosavams, Science fairs and IT fairs. An active NSS is yet another hallmark of the school. The school is situated on the  Vazhakkad road and is very near to  Vazhakkad Junction and bus stand.
